Song of the Livs
Song of the Livs
I know a land full of nature’s blessing, it greens, it sprouts, the colorful fields of spring, the blessing drips upon it from the provident hand, and this land, it is my Livonia.
I know a people, one heart alone it shall be, the Daugava knows it and Lake Peipus, for justice and honor it draws the brave sword, it is the Livonians who are worthy of their land.
There stands a castle from the gray time of the fathers, it looks out over the lands far and wide, the banner waves red-white-red from the tower, boldly defying time and its storm.
Color Stanza
Livonia, to you I belong, yours am I until death, upon your colors I swear, the colors red-white-red. Yes, Livonians shall prove it, prove it through deeds, their heart and also their steel have always struck bravely.
